FAQ - How do you care for your massager? | Extend the life of your massager

*More info can be found in your included user's manual as well! Make sure you read the manual for more detailed instructions!

With an electric massager like the Thumper Sport, a percussive massager speeds up the process of a deep tissue massage, and it makes warming up and relaxing the muscles more efficiently. Simply park the Thumper Massager at a spot for about 30 seconds to a minute and let our patented Thumping action take care of it. Once you feel your muscles relax, glide the massager to the next area to treat.

There is no need to add additional pressure as the massager works best with its own weight. The percussive action penetrates deep into the muscle to help release tight knots and tension.

Our massagers are designed for intermittent use. This means 20 minutes on and then 20 minutes off. This allows the unit to cool down between sessions which extends the life of your massager. Generally, people that use the Thumper for their massage session finish their session in than 20 minutes. As well, make sure you unplug the unit when it's not in use and use the cord tie to store the cord and keep the cord in good shape.

If your massager shuts off after using it for some time, it is likely that you've used it for too long. Unplug it from the wall and let it cool down.

Customers also wonder how to keep their massager clean. Thumper Massagers are low maintenance if used over clothing. However, to clean the massager, simply wipe it with a damp cloth and mild soap.

For those that travel and want to bring their massager with them, we do not recommend using a transformer to have your Thumper Massager fit the plug in a country that uses a different plug shape and voltage.
